Hi Everyone! Can't wait to see you all this weekend. Please remember Jadee's family and Tish's family will be heading out to stomp in the creek and do a little fishing at Backbone some time shortly after noon. And, we've got a Lamont Museum tour planned for 3:00 pm. I hear it's going to be a hot one...shocking, huh! Let's all remember to thank Larry & Marsha and Gram Frankie for their hard work putting this together. Let's face it...not many families are afforded the luxury of a face to face reunion anymore. A great time to reconnect.
Love to all! Tish

Family Pictures!
Some beautiful family pictures sent over from Gay & Fran Bowden.
Barney & Francis dancing their heart out. I remember this grin on Uncle Barney's face. What a blessing that man was!
Jill & Greg with their children Stuart and Jordan.
What a fun family photo of Joy, Mark, Stross & Skye!
Looks like the whole Barney & Francis clan!
Jim Bowden's parents. I love the old photos.

2010 Family Reunion
Our Next Bowden Family Reunion
June 26th, 2010 - Boy Scout Lodge, Lamont, Iowa - We eat at 4:00 pm this year!
A few new additions to our normal family reunion fare. We've added some time in at Backbone State Park. So many of us have wonderful childhood memories of this park. We're planning to meet at the little beach by the spring. Does anyone else remember playing a game to see who could stand in the spring the longest? Holy cow! My calves used to ache! We'll have some hot dogs and soda, walk the creek and just goof around for awhile. Then, we're planning to head to the Lamont Museum around 3:00 pm. Check it out! www.3StarNews.com/lamontmuseum.htm This link should take you to an article about the museum. Lamont has a great little website as well. http://lamontiowa.com -
Dinner is at 4:00 pm! Don't be late for that! It's a potluck and it is our hope that you will all bring family cherished recipes. I would love it if we would start posting those recipes on this blog. It is also my hope that we will upload past family reunion photos, recipes from family and just share little tidbits of news along the way.
Okay, so now you've experienced my very first blog post. I read them all the time...great recipes, great patterns, etc. I hope you'll enjoy this option, too. This family is blessed with some incredibly talented and gifted people. I can just see Lee writing for us...what a gift! I can see Joy posting the family tree info she has. I would love to see Grandma Frankie's mac & cheese recipe here. I would also love to rejoice and pray with you as life hands us little bumps in the road. God bless! Tish
